Neighborhood

The property is a short 1 minute walk up Holme Road from the main Road that runs through Matlock Bath. Holme Road itself sits at the crossroad opposite the turn to the station. The station is easy walking distance from the house, which means you can easily and cheaply get to Matlock in a few minutes, on a train that runs every hour. Up from the station is also the cable cars to Abraham Heights, a fantastic trip to see the caverns and restaurant and explore the Heights. Walking along Lovers Walk next to the river is also a must, and getting fish and chips to enjoy from one of several fish and chip shops along the stretch of shops that run through Matlock Bath.

Guest Access

Arrival: The property can be found on the lefthand side, a very short distance up Holme Road, where guests can turn onto a small carpark. The space available for 4 Coach House Mews is on the far left of the lefthand parking area and there is only one space available for guests to use. Other free parking is available on Holme Road or paid parking at the station. The House: Guests have access to the entire property, unless they have booked the two-bed option in which case the downstairs bedroom and en-suite will be locked. There is a small seating area immediately outside for Guests exclusive use, but Guests should note that the entire Courtyard space is communal and shared with two other properties within the Mews.

Gorgeous apartment, beautifully decorated and to a very high standard and was immaculately clean. The accommodation is spacious and well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine and lovely crockery. I have to say it had a homely feel with personal touches which elevated it from an average rental, lovely lamps and furnishings. Also nice touches such rugs for the dogs and toys for children. It is over 4 floors with a ground floor bedroom and the other bedrooms are on the third floor with the living area in between. Its location is great walking distance to shops cafes and restaurants. There is a good curry house at the bottom of the road but it’s closed on Tuesdays, however there are also restaurants in Matlock and can recommend the Remarkable Hare great food. All reachable by uber which are readily available and very reasonably priced. There are parking spaces at the property, however it can be tight if you have a large car. However I decided to park at the station car park which is a few minutes walk and £7.50 per day so not a problem. Also the beds are very comfortable but a little small but that’s being picky it’s just that I am used to a larger bed.

The house is perfect for a stay in Matlock Bath. Walkable to pubs and cafes. We recommend The Fishpond for food! The house itself is beautiful and felt very homely. Including having games to play. Bedrooms were big and comfy. Added bonus that there was a car parking space, but also very easy to park at the station and walk over too
